Riviera Maya Travel Guide
One of the Natural finest spots in Mexico
Divers and snorkelers alike agree that Riviera Maya is among the most excellent spots in the world. Its shoreline features a stunning coral reef that hosts a wide range of marine animals. Those who can go deep into the Caribbean will find stingrays, whale sharks, and an array of tropical fish. If water-based sports are on the list, the sea certainly beckons, but so does the natural pools that occur in the underground river zones all along the coast. There can be no doubt that forays into the caverns and the sparkling waters will be remembered for a lifetime.
The area known as Riviera Maya extends a full 86 miles and is situated in the Quintana Roo state. This sits on the Yucatan Peninsula's northeast coast, one of Mexico's true beauty spots. The continental portion features a semi-tropical climate, with average temperatures of 26 degrees Celsius, sometimes reaching 35 degrees Celsius in summer. The highest temperatures on record have occurred in May and August. September through October is the rainy season.
