Welcome to Oaxaca! Oaxaca is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO as one of Mexico’s most beautiful Colonial locations. Once you arrive, continue to the exit gate, and you will be met and greeted by your travel host and transferred to your Hotel. Have some time to relax before we meet for cocktails.

Before we cap off the day with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, let’s start with a little cocktail hour (Included) on one of the best rooftops in Oaxaca! With stunning city views and a cozy atmosphere, this rooftop bar is the perfect spot to start Oaxaca exploration.

After cocktails, we’ll head to a local restaurant for a super typical Oaxacan dinner that will satisfy and delight you. From the fragrant and spicy mole to the hearty and comforting tlayudas, the flavors of Oaxaca will take center stage in this delicious meal accompanied by a selection of local wines or mezcals (Drinks not included).

Try to arrive before 4 pm at Oaxaca International Airport so you can Join us for cocktails.Suppose you arrive on your own a few days before and join us later. In that case, we will include the transfer from the Airport to your Hotel, so let us know your plans or contact us to help you with the accommodation or else.

Day 02 * Oaxaca a Magic Town

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you would embark on a walking tour of the colorful historic center of Oaxaca, led by a knowledgeable local guide. The tour would include visits to historical landmarks such as the Santo Domingo church and the zocalo and stops at local markets and artisan workshops.

After the walking tour, you would have some free time for lunch on your own. Some recommended options include trying a tlayuda, a traditional Oaxacan street food made with a large crispy tortilla topped with beans, cheese, and other toppings, or visiting a local restaurant for a more formal Oaxacan meal such as mole or chile relleno.

Next, continue to Mezcaloteca, a popular mezcal bar and tasting room in the heart of Oaxaca City. Here they would have the opportunity to sample a variety of high-quality mezcals and learn about the production process and the history of mezcal in Oaxaca.

After the mezcal tasting, continue to a nearby “Cantina” for a cocktail workshop with a local host. Here they would learn how to make traditional cocktails, such as a mezcal margarita or a Mezcalina, and have the opportunity to try your own inventions. After the workshop, we will recommend some places to have dinner and finish the night.

Day 03 * Puro Mezcal Chingon / Mezcal I Love you

Get ready for a day of exploration and discovery as we take you on a journey through Oaxaca’s rich history, culture, and flavors. After a delicious breakfast, we’ll head to the nearby town of Mitla to immerse ourselves in the ancient Zapotec civilization.

As you explore the impressive ruins and intricate stonework, you’ll be transported back to the height of the Zapotec empire. Learn about this incredible civilization’s history and culture, and marvel at the stunning architecture and artwork that still stands today.

Next, we’ll continue our adventure to Santiago de Matatlan, a town known as the “mezcal mecca” of Oaxaca. Here, we’ll indulge in a unique and authentic lunch experience, enjoying the region’s flavors with the local community.

After lunch, we’ll visit a local mezcal producer to witness the production process firsthand and sample some of the finest mezcal in the area. You’ll learn about the different types of agave used in the production and each variety’s unique flavors and aromas, gaining a newfound appreciation for this beloved spirit.

If you’re still feeling energized, your local host will take you to the city center and recommend some fantastic dinner spots to end the night in style. This day is filled with unforgettable experiences that will stay with you forever.

Day 04 * Flavours of Oaxaca

Get ready for a gastronomic journey through the vibrant and flavorful city of Oaxaca! Start your day with a light breakfast because we’re heading to the markets for a sampling adventure that will tantalize your taste buds. Learn about the Ingredients you will use later today in our master cooking class, and learn some skills to surprise your friends at home.

As we wander through the bustling markets of Oaxaca, you’ll have the opportunity to sample a variety of local delicacies that will open your palate to new and exciting flavors. And, of course, no trip to Oaxaca would be complete without a steaming cup of hot chocolate con leche – a traditional Mexican beverage sure to warm your heart and soul. Paired with other market bites, it’s the perfect way to start your culinary adventure.

From there, it’s off to a renowned cooking school and restaurant that celebrates Oaxaca’s unique flavors and traditions. In a hands-on cooking lesson led by a skilled local chef, you will learn how to prepare traditional Oaxacan dishes using fresh, local ingredients and enjoy a delicious meal together.

After the cooking class, have some time to refresh at the hotel before venturing to dinner. With so many amazing restaurants in Oaxaca, the tour guide will offer personalized recommendations based on your tastes and preferences, ensuring a truly memorable dining experience.

Day 05 * Adios Amigo

After breakfast or at a proper time, one of our friendly and professional drivers will pick you up at your hotel in Oaxaca and take you to the airport in comfort and style.

The drive typically takes around 30 minutes, and along the way, visitors will have a chance to take in the beautiful scenery of the Oaxacan countryside, with its rolling hills and lush green landscapes. The driver will ensure you arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare, allowing you to check in for your flight, pass through security, and relax before departure.
