- What is the purpose of a Temazcal?
A Temazcal is an ancient ritual from prehispanic times. This ritual bath involves a water vapor of aromatic and medicinal herbs and takes you to contact with yourselves and the fundamental elements of nature through songs and prayers. Its purpose is to transform negative thoughts and emotions into new positive energy.
- Are there any restrictions to the participation?
As it can get really hot in a Temazcal the participation is not recommendable for people with recent surgery, pregnant women and people who suffer from epilepsy, hypertension, heart problems, diabetes, claustrophobia, infections, exposed skin wounds and respiratory diseases.
- Can my partner and I have a private Temazcal?
Yes! If you wish to make this experience only with your partner please contact our staff and they will gladly make according reservations. However, this can lead to additional costs.
- Who is conducting the spiritual healing?
The charman of the Mayan community with great experience will conduct your Temazcal. He will guide you through this ritual and explain the origin of each step.
- Is the schedule flexible?
The schedule should give you as much impressions and relaxation therapy as possible in one day. Thus, we try to stick to the schedule as much as possible. - Is there a shorter version of the tour?

- If I don’t feel comfortable in the ritual can I stop?
This day is all about you – the activities today should help you to restore your inner harmony and give you a time out from everyday stress. So, keep an open mind and try things you never did before. Nevertheless, you can always stop, when you feel uncomfortable.
- Do I need to participate in all activities?
Unless all persons in your tour agree to avoid any activity you need to participate in all of them. But don’t worry – with participation in all activities you will get a broad program of different activities and you and the other travelers will have a great time exploring them in a fun and educative way.
- What is included? What is not included?
Transportation, Beverages (Water and Juice), Snacks (Peanuts and Cereal Bars), Entrance fees to the Cenote and Temazcal, Snorkel Equipment, a light Dinner with fruits, tea and water as well as a Bilingual guide is included. Tips and Personal expenses of all sort have to be paid extra.
- How many people participate in the ritual?
How many people participate will depend on the group size. For an intimate experience there will not be more than 10 people in one Temazcal. Yet, if you wish to have a private Temazcal with your partner, please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can make according arrangements.
- What food is included in this tour?
There are snacks, such as peanuts and cereal bars as well as water and tea included. A light dinner with Fruits, Tea and Water is included as well.
- I have special dietary restrictions – can you still accommodate me?
Yes, absolutely. Please let us know your restrictions and we can coordinate with the restaurants in order to make your day with us easy and pleasurable.
- When is the best time to take the tour?
You can take our tour all year round. In fact, the temperature in Mexico is comfortable year round to be outside and makes a visit always pleasurable.
- What is included, what is not included?
This tour includes the Round-trip Transportation from your Hotel in Cancun or Playa del Carmen
- Are there any student or senior discounts?
Our prices are the same for everyone – there is no student or senior discount.
17. Can I give this as a present to a friend?
Of course – there is nothing better than giving your friend a unique memory. At the time of the purchase we only need the data of the person that will receive the present. Of course we will not contact that person if you wish to make it a surprise.
- How can I change my purchase?
You can cancel or change your purchase up to 48hrs before the activity itself. Yet, you can still change the name of the participant at the same day as the tour. If you wish to change the beneficiary please provide us with the reservation number, name, email adress and telephone number to make the change.
- How can I be sure the purchase was successful?
By giving our attentive customer service your reservation number and name and our staff will be happy to assist you and confirm your purchase.
- Can I request the return of a purchase after the expiry date?
After the successful realization of a you cannot request a refund of your purchase.

- When will you charge me for the purchase?
The charge for you purchase goes automatically. However, if you change your mind within the first 48hrs you will retrieve the amount.
- Is it necessary to bring a printed confirmation?
No – upon arrival of your car you only need to tell us your name and confirmation number.
- I do not have PayPal or a credit card, is there another method to book your tour?
Yes, you can transfer the money for the tour electronically to our account, contact our friendly staff to help you.
- I will participate with a companian. Where can I indicate their name?
If you go with a friend or in a group we only need one name to make the reservation. However, if the person indicated in the confirmation is not able to participate, let us know the name of the representative, the confirmation number and email to change your reservation.
- With what credit cards can I pay for the activities?
We accept all major credit cards (VISA, MASTERCARD and American Express) as well as PayPal to make your purchase.
- What happens if I arrive late for an activity?
We know how difficult it can be to be exactly on time in Mexico City. Thus, you have 30 minutes of tolerance before we will consider a “No Show”. However, if these 30 minutes are up there will be no refunds as it is considered as No Show.
- Where and when is the meeting point to start this tour?
We will pick you up directly at your hotel. It is important that you indicate the name of your hotel in Special Requirements in the form of reservation. If you do not have a hotel yet or if it is not indicated in your reservation form, you can coordinate with us via email 48 hrs in advance. We pick up from Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum.
